Welcome to the official website of PERMIAS Buffalo, the Indonesian Student Association at Buffalo! Our mission is to promote and exchange cultural heritage within the community at the University at Buffalo (UB). We are also here to assist and welcome new incoming Indonesian students, studying at UB.
WHO ARE WE?
PERMIAS stands for Persatuan Mahasiswa Indonesia di Amerika Serikat, which translates to the Union of Indonesian Students at the United States.
We are a team of students that strives to promote the Indonesian culture and assist incoming students from Indonesia to adjust to their new life at Buffalo.

We will be having our first General Informational Meeting (GIM) to start the new semester and it will consists of re-introducing our team, our plan for the semester, and informational session about Indonesia. There will be free Indomie during the event.
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3 2017, SOUTH LAKE COMMUNITY BUILDING
Come join PERMIAS, SGSA, and HKSA for a Chinese New Year celebration! We will be serving chicken rice, traditional assorted cakes, and most importantly, Lo Hei, a Chinese tradition where you toss certain ingredients into the air using a chopstick to celebrate the new year. There will also be various activities for you to enjoy so don't miss out!
4:00 PM - 9:00 PM, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11 2017, HOLIDAY VALLEY
PERMIAS will be collaborating with MASA and SGSA to go for a Ski Trip at Holiday Valley Ski Resort. We will be providing transportation but space is limited so make sure to sign up fast once the sign up sheets are up! We will meet at SU Lobby 2:30 PM on the day of the event and start leaving at 3 PM. Total cost will be around $50.
MEET THE TEAM
PERMIAS Buffalo elects a new executive board every academic year and they are the one in charge of promoting, hosting, and organizing Indonesian events at the University at Buffalo. Indonesia SA is under the supervision of the Undergraduate Student Association (SA) at UB and they must comply with all the rules and regulations set by them.
